As I sit here in my little shop, I thought I would send out my PSA about Small Businesses.
How mighty are we?
To take such a risk. Not only with our money, but with our lives and frankly our sanity. A leap of faith is putting it lightly.
The faith in this business was built from my husband; up. I did not have the confidence in the beginning. But he was full of it. Thank goodness. Now that I am open and actually have customers (thank you!), and even REPEAT customers! WHAT?! I'm overwhelmed with gratitude and confirmation that I am doing the right thing.
So anyways... That PSA.
Just a reminder to support the little guys. We work long hours well past the time that our children are in bed, and interrupt a many of date nights with dumb questions about business practices and how to best market yourself on Google. My husband knows everything. He rocks.
We cry real tears over wholesale orders that we pray go through on our credit cards. We cry over our customers and the stories that we learn about them. We cry over leaving our screaming children as we walk out the door to work. Real tears.
So this holiday season, shop small. Shop all those people that took risks and work incredibly hard to provide you an experience that hopefully you never forget.
We wouldn't be anywhere without our customers. You all are the best. You put your faith in us.
We thank you.
Blessings to all of you,
I am completely overwhelmed by how amazing the opening day was. I flipped over the open sign at 10:00am on the dot, and people walked in at 10:01am.
This community is so amazing and incredibly supportive of small businesses.
I had several people walk in and say, "I've had you on my calendar for a month! So glad you are finally open!" How humbling is that?
With Christmas and the holidays right around the corner, I'm excited to see what's going to happen.
Make sure to check out the "New Arrivals" button for updates!
Love to all of you.
What a journey this has been.
I've had a dream of owning a retail front for many years. After having a successful flower shop, I wanted to stretch my business legs a bit more.
This beautiful boutique was born out of two desires. 1. Proving to my children that Mama's can own businesses too, and 2. Growth within my community.
There is just something about showing your children that Mommy can work too. To me, it is so important. Mommy is strong. Mommy is powerful. Mommy is awesome.
I was a stay at home Mom for over 2 years, and felt this need to go back to work. Now, major kudos to all my SAHM out there. You all have THE hardest job in the world, and I'm definitely not taking away from what you all do every day... Promise me, I've been there.
There has been some leaps in Faith through this journey. Spending lots of money when nothing is coming in the door yet, is pretty terrifying. But through it all, I know God has amazing plans for this.
Huge thanks to my AMAZING husband, Matthew. You are the wind in my sails and the light of my life.
To my best friend, Jenny. You are the Monica to my Rachel and the Peanut Butter to my Jelly. I love you. This endeavor would not have been possible without some late night margaritas and a whole lot of dreaming and laughter. All of the T-shirt designs were created by Jenny, by the way...
To all my friends and family, you all are the best. Seriously. The best.
Can't wait to see all of you on November 11th from 10-6PM!
Peace and Love,
